Adoption

Well, I retired the old autobiography and turned it into more of a present day “get to know me” type of thing. But in doing that I also removed vital information that many come to this blog specifically to read about. I have included it here in Q & A format.

1. How old were you when you were adopted?

The age that I was ‘adopted’ and the age that I immigrated to Canada are two different numbers. In theory I was officially my parent’s kid when I was 16 months old. I immigrated to Canada at around 21 months.

2. Where were you born?

I was born at the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital and from there was eventually transferred to the Red Cross Children’s Home in Bangkok, Thailand.

3. Do you know your biological family?

No. I know only their names, where they lived back in ’94 and their marital status.

4. Do you know of any siblings?

My birth records show that I am the second born girl of their family, meaning that their is/was an older female sibling before me.

5. Have you ever tried to look for your biological family?

Efforts were made a few years ago but did not continue. There was a time period when I had no desire to meet them or even acknowledge them. To this day  while I still have no desire to meet them, I would like to know more about them.

6. What are you up to now?

Right now I am trying to figure out what I want to do, so I am taking a gap year (*gasp!) and working.

7. What are your interests?

Paddling, coaching, running, baking, writing, music, tea & coffee, film editing and procrastinating.

8. What are your 1, 5, & 10 year goals?

1 Year: To move to the east coast, get into University focusing on either Kinesiology, Journalism or…..I don’t know. Hence, the gap year. Own a car.

5 Year: To have graduated University and/or have a satisfying job with room for development.

10 Year: To live in a great big house, with a family and happy life.

There you go, you got to know a bit more about me now it’s your turn! Leave a comment on posts, say ‘hi’!
